本次紐西蘭之旅分為AB兩團，各為23人，活動作業以分團進行為原則，因此以下團務及行程分組都以23來計算，但惜別會分組將合團，以46人為計算。每一位同學都將身兼三職，在三種分組裡扮演不同的角色。

孟臻是306班的學生，她在今年的大學指考裡，英文表現亮眼，考了九十九點五分，是全國最高分。
她自小一就看英文小說，小二起不看電視。 謝孟臻的父母都是醫師，父親是醫學博士，她三歲隨父母到美國，六歲才回台灣讀小學。謝爸爸說，孟臻在美國讀了三年幼稚園，但沒學什麼英文，英文底子都是台灣打的。
